About Us

Ashville Henderson, based in Wirral, is a proactive, and experienced firm of Chartered Accountants. We offer a friendly down to earth professional service across Wirral, Merseyside and Cheshire.

‘Every Client Counts’ – Whatever size your business is, we at Ashville Henderson pride ourselves on listening carefully to your needs and tailoring our services to meet them. This may simply be to complete and submit your self-assessment tax return each year, or a full bespoke package.

We take care of all your normal compliance work ensuring that deadlines are met, giving you peace of mind. This leaves you to concentrate on growing your business and doing what you are good at.

We meet all of our clients at least once a year and often more frequently, and are always available by email or telephone. Meetings can be held either at our offices in Bebington where free parking is available, or at your premises.

Our clients appreciate the fact that we deliver good timely advice in plain English, and most of our new work comes from referrals.

All our fees are agreed in advance and are usually paid by monthly standing order.

Services

Annual Accounts

We prepare annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and charities in order to meet your statutory obligations. We believe that it is essential that we understand you and your business, and therefore we will meet with you at least once a year, to discuss the figures, offer tax advice and to ensure that we are providing you with the service that you need.

VAT Returns

As part of our bookkeeping service, we can prepare your vat return form each quarter from your records. Often this will be from a pile of invoices! We will submit this online on your behalf and advise you of the liability.

Payroll

We run a full payroll bureau service, and can cater for weekly, fortnightly, 4 weekly or monthly paid employees (or any combination!). You will receive a full report on each pay date, along with payslips for your employees.

Fees

After a free consultation, we are happy to provide you with a no obligations quote. We will give you a fixed fee annual quote to cover all agreed services. We do not charge extra for queries or meetings throughout the year, although if you require additional services this will be charged separately at a rate agreed in advance. We encourage clients to pay by monthly standing order, and do not charge a surcharge for this.

Bookkeeping & Management

We offer a comprehensive bookkeeping service which allows you to concentrate on running your business, without having to worry about the paperwork.

Regular financial information is of paramount importance for the continued success of your business. We can prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts which will enable you to monitor your figures regularly and allows us to give you advice on a timely basis.

Taxation

We are highly experienced in personal and corporate taxation and will prepare and submit your self-assessment income tax returns and corporation tax returns. We ensure that you are fully aware of your tax liabilities as soon as possible so that you can make provisions to pay this by the due date. Tax planning is very important so that you can retain as much of your profits as possible. We aim to be proactive and review your results prior to the year end so that action can be taken to ensure that you pay the minimum tax legally possible.

Start-up Advice

If you are thinking of starting a business, then we encourage you to take advantage of our free initial consultation. We will discuss the advantages of trading as a sole trader, partnership, or limited company, giving you jargon free advice to ensure that you set off on the right course from day one. We can complete company formations, and many of the registration forms for you to ensure that you comply with all of the red tape and avoid costly penalties. We can assist in setting up an accounting system for you and offer training if required. This may range from a simple spreadsheet, to cloud software such as QuickBooks
